How to fix throttling issues with MiFi M2000
Some MiFi M2000 devices on the T-Mobile network are not able to stream video and UDP connections at full speed.
If this seems like it is happening to you, please follow these steps:
- Connect to the the WiFi network of the MiFi M2000.
- Open http://192.168.1.1/ in a web browser. A web page should load that says “inseego M2000”. It must say “T-Mobile” in the top right hand corner.
- Click “Sign In” in the top right hand corner and enter the admin password. The admin password can be found on the panel of the device by selecting Menu > Settings > Advanced Settings.
- Click on the “>” under the heading “Settings” or open http://192.168.1.1/preferences/
- Click on the tab “Advanced” and then hit “Continue”. You should now be at the path Settings > Advanced > Network.
- Find the “APN” field and select the value “B2B.tmobile.com” from the pull-down menu.
- Find the “PDP” field and select “IPV4” from the pull-down menu.
- Click “Save Changes”.
