How to get technical support for your hotspot
If there is a technical problem with your mobile hotspot, please contact our device supplier, Mobile Citizen either by phone on 877-216-9603 or via email: support[@]mobilecitizen.org.
Their technical support is available Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm MT.
They will be able to help troubleshoot physical problems with your hardware, process warranty returns, and also loop in T-Mobile to check for any problems in your local network.
In order to help you most efficiently, they will need your IMEI number.
The IMEI number is a unique identifier for your hotspot device itself (not the SIM card inside the device). There are several ways to find your IMEI number:
- The IMEI is printed on the outside of the box that your device came in.
- The IMEI is printed under the battery. You will have to open the case to check. If the case does not open easily when you remove the back, do not force it.
- The IMEI can be discovered in the administration control panel of your device, either on the device’s screen (where applicable) or the web interface typically accessible at http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1. Consult your device’s manual for specifics.
