Hotspot memberships
If the hotspot provided as part of your Calyx Internet membership is no longer functional and no longer under warranty, you will need to replace your hotspot. You can also replace your hotspot if your membership needs change and you want to take advantage of the features of a different device at a different membership level.
There are two options for replacing your hotspot:
- You can order a replacement hotspot from Calyx through your account on our website.
- You can transition to a Calyx Sprout membership through your account on our website, which allows you to bring your own compatible device (BYOD).
You can order a replacement hotspot device or transition to a Sprout membership at any time. Your membership level will change based on the hotspot or Sprout SIM that you order , but this will only affect your membership contribution the next time you renew.
Here’s how you order a replacement device or SIM:
- Sign into your account at https://members.calyxinstitute.org
- Click Devices
- Click Order Replacement Device
- Click the hotspot model you wish to order or click Switch to Sprout (BYOD).
Please note: You can only have one device or SIM active for a membership at a time. Once you order a replacement device or switch your membership to Sprout (BYOD), your old device will be deactivated after two weeks. If you want multiple devices, please add an additional membership instead.
