How to get a replacement for a device under warranty
Hotspot memberships
All hotspots are covered by a nine-month limited warranty through our hardware provider, Mobile Citizen. This warranty covers defective devices but not loss or theft.
Because this warranty is provided by Mobile Citizen, the warranty process is subject to all relevant Mobile Citizen policies. What this means is that In order to exchange devices under this warranty, you MUST HAVE the following original equipment manufacturer (OEM) materials:
- Device (including back battery cover)
- Battery
- SIM Card
While not required, Mobile Citizen would also like the following OEM materials returned before exchanging a defective device:
- Box
- USB Cable
- Power Adapter
To start the warranty process, contact Mobile Citizen via phone at 877-216-9603.
Before Mobile Citizen will ship a replacement device, they must confirm your mailing address with us here at Calyx. If you have changed your address since the original device was shipped, it’s important that you update your shipping address in our records.
Sprout memberships
If you believe that the SIM provided as part of your Sprout membership has malfunctioned, please contact Mobile Citizen’s tech support hotline at 877-216-9603 to troubleshoot.
If Mobile Citizen’s tech support hotline determines that your SIM is nonfunctional and needs to be replaced, they will contact us to begin coordinating the SIM replacement process.
If you believe the hardware you are using with your Sprout membership has malfunctioned, please contact the original equipment manufacturer of the hardware.
