MiFi 8000 - Discontinued 4G Hotspot

Released in June 2019, the MiFi 8000 supports Sprint’s LTE Plus 5x carrier aggregation features, has TS-9 antenna ports that can be used with external MIMO antennas and supports USB tethering to a router or access point. The Calyx Institute no longer offers these devices because our hardware provider no longer carries them. We do not expect to have it back in stock at any time in the future.

The Calyx Institute no longer offers these devices for new memberships because our hardware provider no longer carries them. We do not expect to have it back in stock at any time in the future. If you have one already, the Mifi 8000 should continue to work with Calyx internet service indefinately. It was previously is available with the Contributor Plus level of membership.

The Mifi 8000 supports most bands used by T-Mobile and Sprint (does not support T-Mobile's extended range band 71).

NOTE: Currently, this hotspot will connect to Sprint's network, and will fall back to use the T-Mobile network if the Sprint network is not available. This may change in the future as the merger between Sprint and T-Mobile proceeds.
