Hotspot Models

The devices listed here are, or have been, available as Calyx membership premiums. All mobile hotspots come with unlimited 4G or 5G internet connectivity on the T-Mobile network in the US and Puerto Rico (for as long as your membership is active).

NOTE: Hotspots received before October 1 2021 will currently connect first to the Sprint network. If the Sprint network is completely unavailable, it will use the T-Mobile network in roaming mode, although the internet usage is still unmetered.

Mifi X PRO 5G Hotspot
Released in November 2022, the Mifi X PRO 5G hotspot supports 5G connectivity, SRS Antenna Switching and 5G carrier aggregation (NRCA). It offers a 1 Gbps Ethernet port, USB-C port and Wi-Fi 6. The all-new proprietary battery preservation mode enables 24x7 use cases with AC power.
JEXtream RG2100

Released in 2023, the JEXtream RG2100 hotspot by Franklin Wireless uses an X62 modem, supports 5G connectivity and Wi-Fi 6.

Franklin T10 - 4G Hotspot
The Franklin T10 is a small lightweight mobile hotspot that supports all possible T-Mobile bands.
MiFi M2000 - Discontinued 5G Hotspot
Released in December 2020, the MiFi M2000 supports 5G connectivity, an internal 4x4 MIMO antenna, Advanced Carrier Aggregation (on band 7), USB tethering, and can be used as a battery bank. The M2000 does not have external antenna ports or work without the battery in place.
Quanta 5G - Discontinued 5G Hotspot

Released in June 2022, the Quanta 5G Hotspot for T-Mobile supports 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, an internal 4x4 MIMO antenna, and Advanced Carrier Aggregation.

LINKZONE 2 - Discontinued 4G Hotspot
The LINKZONE 2 mobile hotspot supports USB tethering and all possible T-Mobile/Sprint 4G bands, including T-Mobile's extended range bands and the bands formerly used by Sprint. In comparison to the Franklin T9, it uses USB-C, has longer battery life, and includes the ability to charge other devices.
Franklin T9 - Discontinued 4G Hotspot
The Franklin T9 mobile hotspot supports all possible T-Mobile/Sprint 4G bands, including T-Mobile's extended range bands and the bands formerly used by Sprint. In comparison to the LINKZONE 2, it has shorter battery life and does not have the ability to charge other devices.
MiFi 8000 - Discontinued 4G Hotspot
Released in June 2019, the MiFi 8000 supports Sprint's LTE Plus 5x carrier aggregation features, has TS-9 antenna ports that can be used with external MIMO antennas and supports USB tethering to a router or access point. The Calyx Institute no longer offers these devices because our hardware provider no longer carries them. We do not expect to have it back in stock at any time in the future.
Coolpad Surf - Discontinued 4G Hotspot
The Coolpad is a sleek, lightweight device that brings Wi-Fi access while on the go. Hotspot and device management is achieved via web interface.
